Key Responsibilities
Corporate Procurement Strategy
• Develop and execute global procurement strategy aligned with corporate growth
objectives.
• Establish short-term and long-term sourcing roadmap for electronic components
(ICs, semiconductors, passive components, connectors, etc.).
• Lead cost reduction programs and total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives.
• Drive digitalization and data-driven procurement decision models.
Electronics Component Market Intelligence
• Monitor and analyze global electronics component market trends, including:
o Supply-demand cycles
o Pricing trends
o Capacity shifts
o Geopolitical risks
o Build strong relationships with key manufacturers and authorized
distributors.
o Provide executive-level market insights to support business decisions.
Vendor & Supplier Strategy
• Develop global vendor strategy (direct suppliers, distributors, strategic partners).
• Define supplier segmentation framework (strategic / preferred / approved vendors).
• Lead strategic supplier negotiations on pricing, allocation, payment terms, LTAs.
• Establish dual-source and risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct executive-level supplier business reviews.
Pricing & Commercial Negotiation
• Lead high-value price negotiations and commercial agreements.
• Structure long-term agreements (LTA), volume commitments, rebate programs.
• Optimize payment terms and working capital impact.
• Support major customer bid negotiations with cost strategy inputs.
Corporate Quotation Team Management
• Lead and manage global quotation teams.
• Ensure accurate BOM costing and competitive pricing strategy.
• Develop standardized costing models and RFQ processes.
• Improve quotation turnaround time and win-rate performance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Engineering on new program bids.
Engineering & Design Collaboration
• Establish strong collaboration framework with Engineering and R&D teams
• Participate in early design phase to influence component selection and cost
• Drive design-to-cost initiatives and alternative component qualification
strategies
• Support spec-in activities with strategic suppliers to align roadmap and
technology direction
• Enable supplier-driven innovation by integrating key suppliers into NPI phase
Global Sourcing & Risk Management
• Drive global sourcing strategy across regions (Asia, Americas, Europe).
• Establish supply continuity strategy (buffer stock, VMI, bonded inventory).
• Lead crisis management during shortages or supply disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations and ESG requirements.
• Leadership & Organization Development
• Build high-performance global procurement organization.
• Develop talent pipeline and succession planning.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration culture.
Qualifications
• 15+ years in electronics supply chain / procurement leadership.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor and passive component markets.
• Proven track record in global sourcing strategy.
• Deep experience in high-level commercial negotiations.
• Experience managing global teams.
• Strong financial acumen (cost modeling, margin impact).
• Executive presence and strategic thinking capability.
