Key Responsibilities
1) Supply Chain Leadership
• Lead and develop the Purchasing, Planning, and Quoting organizations to deliver
strong service, cost, quality, and execution performance.
• Establish the overall supply chain strategy for the site/business, aligned with
company goals for growth, profitability, customer service, and working capital.
• Build scalable processes, organizational capability, and performance discipline
across all supply chain functions.
• Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and datadriven decision-making.
• Serve as a key member of the site leadership team, contributing to strategic and
operational planning.
2) Purchasing / Procurement
• Direct all procurement activities, including direct materials, supplier
management, negotiations, cost reduction, and supply continuity.
• Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, lead time, quality, flexibility, and
supply assurance.
• Strengthen supplier relationships and lead executive-level engagement with
strategic suppliers.
• Manage supply risk through proactive monitoring, alternate sourcing, capacity
alignment, and mitigation planning.
• Drive material cost productivity initiatives, including PPV improvement, resourcing,
should-cost analysis, and negotiation strategies.
• Ensure effective procurement support for NPI, production ramp-ups, customer
transitions, and ongoing production.
• Partner with Quality and Engineering on supplier qualification, performance
management, and issue resolution.
3) Planning / S&OP / Material Readiness
• Lead demand planning, supply planning, production planning, and material
planning to support on-time customer delivery and factory efficiency.
• Establish robust planning processes to optimize inventory levels, material
availability, schedule adherence, and capacity alignment.
• Drive planning excellence across forecast translation, MPS, MRP utilization, order
management, and shortage management.
• Partner with customers, Program Management, and Operations to manage demand
volatility, upside/downside scenarios, and supply constraints.
• Lead S&OP / SIOP processes as applicable, ensuring alignment between demand,
supply, inventory, and financial objectives.
4) Quoting / Estimating / Commercial Support
• Own the supply chain and material cost input into the quotation and estimating
process for new and existing business.
• Ensure quotations are accurate, competitive, timely, and aligned with sourcing
strategy, lead times, market conditions, and customer requirements.
• Partner with Business Development, Program Management, Engineering, and
Finance to support business awards and profitable growth.
• Review BOMs, AVL/AML strategies, cycle times, inventory assumptions, and supply
risk as part of customer proposals.
• Develop standard costing and quote governance processes to improve consistency,
speed, pricing discipline, and win rates.
• Support customer negotiations involving material assumptions, noncancelable/non-returnable commitments, lead-time risk, stocking strategies, and
escalation mechanisms.
• Drive post-award quote-to-execution handoff to ensure continuity between
commercial assumptions and operational execution.
5) Cross-Functional Execution
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Program Management, and
Quality to ensure smooth execution from quotation through production and
delivery.
• Support customer escalations related to supply constraints, cost changes, E&O
exposure, expedites, and delivery commitments.
• Lead supply chain readiness for new product introductions, transfers, capacity
expansions, and strategic customer programs.
• Collaborate with Finance on inventory health, reserves, standard costs, cost rollups, and working capital performance
6) Process Improvement & Systems
• Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes using Lean, Six Sigma, or
other operational excellence methodologies.
• Improve ERP/MRP utilization, data accuracy, parameter governance, and reporting
visibility.
• Standardize KPIs, dashboards, and business review processes across purchasing,
planning, and quoting.
• Implement tools and processes that improve responsiveness, scenario planning,
and decision quality.

Experience
• 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including senior
leadership responsibility in a CDMO, EMS, electronics manufacturing, or
complex discrete manufacturing environment
• Proven leadership of Purchasing, Planning, and/or Quoting/Estimating teams
• Strong experience in electronics components sourcing, supplier management,
material pricing, and supply continuity management
• Demonstrated success in customer-facing quotation support, costed BOM
analysis, and commercial proposal development
• Experience managing supply chain operations in a high-mix manufacturing
environment
• Strong ERP/MRP experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QAD, Plex, Epicor, or similar)
• Experience with NPI, product transfers, demand volatility, and constrained
supply environments
• Background in regulated industries or medical/industrial/electronics manufacturing
is a plus
